Louise is honored to serve as the NoVA First Impressions Director and is passionate about connecting with people and serving the Lord through the local church. Louise puts the “extra” in extrovert. Whether she is serving as a counselor, coach, spiritual director, or connecting with guests, she gets great joy in listening to others share their story. Her love for others’ stories is only surpassed by her love for healing and seeing people find new levels of freedom.

Originally from Boise, Idaho, Louise greatly misses the smell of mountain dirt. She cut her teeth in ministry as a worship leader, and cultivated a love for Bible study, worship leadership, and inner-healing at Northwest Nazarene University where she earned a degree in Religious Studies, followed by a masters in Mental Health Counseling at UMass – Boston. She thoroughly enjoys living at the intersection of theology and psychology where she channels her inner monk and practices holy noticing in order to develop a better understanding of the human experience and God’s relentless pursuit of our whole selves.

Louise is wife to Jeremy, and mom to Isaac and Caleb. After seven military moves in 17 years, the Goodwin’s are thrilled to have purchased a home in Arlington and look forward to growing some roots! Her perfect day includes sleeping in, brunch, and either a hike or an afternoon of sand volleyball. The day ends sitting next to a fire pit roasting locally-made, small-batch marshmallows and belly-laughing with good friends. Consider yourself invited!

A true native to the DMV, Jasmine Chestnut was born in Washington, D.C., raised in Maryland, and has called the City of Alexandria, VA home since 2006. No joke – it really was the word “community” that drew her to NCC. Her heart is to see individuals awakened to the truth and love within and surrounding them through participation in authentic relationships formed in the context of reciprocal, sustainable communities. That’s definitely a group effort!… which is why she loves serving on our Groups team. Jasmine brings creativity and a design thinking lens to ministry, influenced by her 17 years designing human-centered environments that support people as they work, learn, connect, and heal.

Jasmine is committed to being a lifelong student, practicing the arts of being a wife to William, mom to Layla & Jacob, and friend while finding time to explore the intersections of her interests in food, tea, art, herbalism, spiritual formation, rookie gardening, forest bathing, and mountain-seeking. She holds a M.A. in Interior Design and a B.S. in Biology, and is amazed at how she continues to draw from both throughout her exciting journey of a career.
